Wardell Armstrong

How can the world meet the increasing demand for clean, secure, affordable energy, and mitigate the effects of climate change?

How can we maximise the value of land and resources and still act responsibly to protect our environment? Wardell Armstrong (WA), an independent engineering and renewable energy consultancy help their private and public sector clients’ deal with some of these issues.

The company has ten regional UK offices employing over 350 people plus overseas offices in Moscow and Kazakhstan.

The company’s office in Cornwall is based at Wheal Jane, a reclaimed mine now home to a host of companies offering expertise in mining, minerals processing, civil engineering and environment services. Wardell Armstrong’s clients range from solar farm developers through to Central Asian and African mining companies where the engineering company works on gold, nickel and other mining projects.

Haydn Scholes, Director of Wardell Armstrong says: “Whether your project is under, on or above the ground, we can assemble the right team to give you the technical expertise and knowledge you need to help you make your project a success.”

He continues “The reason our renewables team is based in Cornwall is simple – it makes perfect business sense, here we’re surrounded by a range of renewable energy companies and therefore potential clients. They’re drawn here because of what’s in Cornwall. The wind resource in Cornwall is amongst the best in the UK, it’s the best region for solar power generation and we have some of the best geothermal resources in the UK, if not in Western Europe.”

Looking to the future with a long and successful history behind it, Wardell Armstrong’s set to continue building on its impressive track record with a high quality service, both in the UK and internationally.
