What does the blaze marque stand
for?
The blaze marque reflects a contemporary
region with a deep-rooted culture of innovation,
a thriving entrepreneurial spirit and a
strong commitment to securing a successful
future for its people. A key influence
in its design is the flag of St Piran,
the patron saint of tin miners (white tin
was extracted from the black ore as part
of the tin smelting process).
Will businesses or organisations have
to pass a quality inspection to be able to use
the logo?
We’ve developed a brand licensing system
and eligibility criteria for the use of the blaze marque. If businesses
and organisations meet their own industry quality
standards and offer goods and services that
help build consistent recognition for Cornwall,
they shouldn’t have a problem in obtaining
a Brand Licence.
