Our Brand

Cornwall Brand has been developed to promote Cornish business innovation, entrepreneurship and success outside of the county. On receiving a brand license a business becomes a “Brand Ambassador” and represents Cornish business to the wider world. The Brand License also enables businesses to use the “Blaze Marque” if required.

Cornwall Brand holds a number of events throughout the year for its Brand Ambassadors as well as actively promoting its Ambassadors through a wider PR & marketing campaign.

Not all businesses are eligible to be Brand Ambassadors and use the Cornwall Blaze Marque, the Cornwall Brand identity. This initiative is primarily aimed at businesses which operate in the knowledge economy sectors i.e. environmental technology, aerospace, medical and I.T sectors.

Eligible businesses need to demonstrate one or more of the following principals:

• Cornwall Business Awards winner / finalist
• International trade
• Spirit of innovation
• Promote Cornwall’s entrepreneurial expertise
• Key driver in contributing to long-term economic sustainability
• Forward looking, represent a dynamic Cornwall
• Distinctive; doing something new / unusual, firsts for Cornwall / UK
• Good ambassador for Cornwall; visionary; inspiring; quality

Please note in the food and drink sector, sector leaders are consulted to ensure “quality” products are produced. The Cornwall Blaze Marque is not a trade mark or quality assurance mark.
